The year 10s took a short trip to Kineton High School on Monday (14th November) and were looking to turn the tide on their unfortunate league start after an unlucky loss against Shipston before the half term. The start of the game was back and forth as both teams were getting used to the slippery surface. But Kineton took the lead 10 minutes in which was quickly equalled out by Southam, with a well taken finish by Liam J, 30 seconds after the restart. Southam managed to take the lead later in the first half through Harrison M, but this time it was Southam who could not manage to hold on to the lead as Kineton levelled things up to take it 2-2 into half time.

The second half started and Southam started to take control of the game and deserved to take the lead through a strike from captain Dan M which was followed by another Harrison M goal who finished off a brilliant link up with Tobias C and Liam J to take the lead to 4-2. Southam kept piling on the pressure which was topped off with another dazzling individual effort by Harrison M which saw him take home the match ball. Southam increased their levels in the second half with help from Miss Parr who provided the team with encouragement and inspiration and saw them take the 3 points with a 5-2 win. Every player contributed massively with their performances and attitude towards the game. Southam seem to have found their form at a good time with a highly anticipated home game against Campion School next week, where the year 10s will look to make it 2 on the bounce in the league.
